ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a skilled and reliable Powerhouse Operator with a Mechanical or Electrical background to support the safe and efficient operation of the resort's power generation and utility systems. The ideal candidate will be technically competent, safety-conscious, and able to respond effectively to operational requirements in a remote island environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Operate and monitor diesel generators, electrical systems, and powerhouse equipment. Conduct regular equipment inspections, readings, and operational checks. Identify and report faults, abnormalities, and breakdowns promptly. Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance. Maintain accurate logbooks and equipment records. Ensure a continuous and reliable power supply to the resort. Follow all health, safety, environmental, and operational standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized powerhouse. Support the Engineering team during maintenance, repairs, and emergencies. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Mechanical or Electrical qualification with minimum 2 years' relevant experience, preferably in a hotel, resort, or industrial environment. Practical knowledge of generators, electrical/mechanical systems, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Strong safety awareness, responsibility, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a technical team, flexible shifts, and a remote island environment. Good English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.
