Job Type Full Time Job Location Abu Dhabi, UAE Nationality Any Nationality Salary Not Specified Gender Not Specified Arabic Fluency Not Specified Job Function Engineering - Mechanical & Aeronautical Company Industry Travel, Hotel & Tourism The AC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems throughout the hotel. This role ensures that all guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, and back-of-house facilities maintain optimal temperature and air quality while adhering to safety, operational, and hospitality standards. Key responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, including air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), split units, package units, chillers, and ventilation systems. Inspect, diagnose, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration equipment to minimize downtime. Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests related to air conditioning and ventilation. Monitor and maintain chilled water systems, pumps, thermostats, and control systems. Clean and replace air filters, coils, condensate drains, and other HVAC components. Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions. Monitor refrigerant levels and perform leak detection and repairs in compliance with environmental regulations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and equipment inspections. Coordinate with other Engineering team members during maintenance projects and emergencies. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and hotel operating procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Support energy conservation initiatives by ensuring HVAC systems operate efficiently. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational certification in HVAC, air conditioning, or refrigeration is preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an AC Technician, preferably in a hotel, hospitality, commercial, or facilities maintenance environment. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration principles, and electrical controls. Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and technical manuals. Experience using HVAC diagnostic tools and testing equipment. Physically fit and able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and on rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required.
