As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional coffee beverages and providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment. Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso-based beverages, using high-quality beans and proper techniques. Operate and maintain coffee equipment, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to food safety standards. Take customer orders, handle transactions, and provide knowledgeable recommendations about our coffee offerings. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and maintain a clean, organised work area. Stay updated on coffee trends and Baxterstorey's product range to enhance the customer experience. Previous experience as a Barista, preferably in a busy café or coffee shop environment. Excellent knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and ability to consistently produce high-quality beverages. Proficiency in operating espresso machines and other coffee equipment. Strong latte art skills. Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures. Food safety certification (desirable). In-depth knowledge of coffee beans, roasts, and brewing methods. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
