Job Type Full Time Job Location Dubai, UAE Nationality Any Nationality Salary Not Specified Gender Not Specified Arabic Fluency Not Specified Job Function Catering, Food Services & Restaurants Company Industry Travel, Hotel & Tourism We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Rixos Premium Dubai as our new Restaurant Hostess to provide an appropriate welcome at Turquoise Restaurant for guests, to handle table reservations and effectively control the flow of guests. This position reports to Supervisor. Key roles & responsibilities Provide a warm and friendly welcome, leading guests and seating them at their table Take telephone bookings and maintain a clear and organized reservations system Assist in the set-up of tables and displays Maintain and update guest database Ensure full knowledge and understanding of LQA and hotel standards and implement them in all interactions Be attentive to guests and resolve their complaints where possible, reporting all incidents to Supervisor/Assistant Manager/Manager Undertake service training led by the outlet departmental trainer, Supervisor, Assistant Manager, or Manager to ensure full capability in understanding and executing service standards Ensure that all reports related to the outlet are well maintained and completed as per schedule and in a timely manner Support the service team during times of need or crunch in service in the following areas, but not limited to: section holding, coffee station, back area, and mise en place Maintain cleanliness of hostess station and surrounding areas, as well as all menus Maintain good working relationships with own colleagues and all other departments Correct preparation of all necessary operational material in the back office Learn safety, sanitation, and hygiene policies Present check to guests and perform cashiering function if needed Effectively control guest flow in the restaurant ensuring maximum turnover Ensure the restaurant is ready to receive guests prior to opening and that both staff and tables are ready in line with opening standards Carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the management of the hotel Assist other food & beverage outlets in their operations within peak times when needed
