Job description / Role At Etihad, data plays a critical role in how we understand our customers, optimize commercial performance, and make better decisions across the airline. We are looking for a senior analytics specialist to join our enterprise analytics team in Abu Dhabi. This is a hands-on analytical role for someone who enjoys getting into complex datasets, solving difficult business problems, and turning analysis into insights that can influence real commercial decisions. You’ll work with analytics managers and business engagement partners on some of the highest-value questions facing the business, using Etihad’s enterprise data and analytical toolkit to uncover trends, investigate root causes, identify opportunities, and help stakeholders understand what the data is telling us. We are particularly interested in candidates who have developed their careers in data science, advanced analytics, commercial analytics, or similar data-intensive environments and want to apply those capabilities to complex, real-world business challenges. What you’ll do Tackle complex business questions, translating requirements into structured analytical approaches and solutions. Conduct advanced and ad-hoc analysis across large and varied datasets, going beyond the initial question to identify underlying drivers, patterns, and opportunities. Apply analytical and data science techniques to generate meaningful insights and support better business decision-making. Turn complex analysis into clear visualizations and concise insights that can be understood and acted upon by business stakeholders. Identify opportunities to automate recurring analysis and improve the efficiency, scalability, and quality of analytical solutions. Build deep expertise in Etihad’s enterprise data, analytical tools, and methodologies. Develop specialist knowledge in one or more analytical disciplines, becoming a trusted subject-matter expert within the wider analytics community. Maintain clear documentation of analytical methodologies and solutions to support consistency and knowledge sharing. Share your expertise with colleagues and support the development of more junior analysts through coaching and technical guidance.
