Here's what you'll do during a typical day: • Prepare and present pastry creations: Prepare, bake, decorate, and present a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and other baked goods according to standard recipes, ensuring consistency in quality, taste, and presentation. • Support and supervise the pastry team: Provide guidance and support to Commis Chefs and junior team members, helping to maintain smooth and efficient pastry operations in the absence of senior pastry chefs. • Maintain cleanliness and organization: Ensure all pastry workstations, equipment, and storage areas are clean, organized, and free from cross-contamination, adhering to the highest hygiene standards. • Ensure quality and proper storage: Monitor the quality and freshness of ingredients, ensuring correct storage, stock rotation, and compliance with food safety requirements. • Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards: Follow and promote all health, safety, and sanitation regulations to maintain a safe working environment and protect the wellbeing of guests and team members. • Create memorable guest experiences: Assist with guest requests and special dietary requirements in a timely and professional manner, delivering exceptional pastry offerings that enhance the overall dining experience. • Support menu execution and innovation: Assist in the preparation of seasonal dessert offerings, special events, and buffet presentations, contributing creative ideas while maintaining brand and quality standards.
