Additionally, they should have experience in sales, marketing, and financial management, and possess a relevant diploma or degree in event management, hospitality management, or a related field.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day: • Sales and Marketing: Develop and implement a sales and marketing plan to promote the venue's group, conference, and event facilities to potential clients, and manage existing client relationships. • Booking Management: Oversee all bookings, including negotiating contracts, managing room allocations, and ensuring that client requirements are met. • Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop budgets and financial reports related to events and conferences, track expenses, and ensure that all events remain within budget. • Coordination and Management: Oversee all aspects of events and conferences, including liaising with venue staff and suppliers, arranging catering, audiovisual, and transportation needs, and managing logistics and schedules. • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns, and responding to their requests in a timely and professional manner. • Staff Management: Manage a team of event and conference staff, including scheduling, training, and delegating tasks. • Event Evaluation: Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of each event and make recommendations for improvement. • Administration: Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and handle administrative tasks such as drafting contracts, invoicing, and processing payments.
