Job Description Position Summary The Commis is responsible for preparing consistent, high-quality dishes. Must be courteous, professional, efficient and flexible as per the kitchen t operational standards. You will be responsible for assisting the CDP and Sous Chef in cooking and ensuring that all stations are clean. Qualification & Responsibilities: • Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and washing ingredients. • Measure and weigh ingredients accurately. • Support chefs in cooking and plating dishes. • Follow recipes and instructions given by senior chefs. • Assist with garnishing and final presentation of dishes. • Keep workstations clean and organized. • Ensure kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and stored. • Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times. • Help receive and store kitchen supplies and ingredients. • Report shortages or spoiled items to senior staff. • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food preparation. • Passion for cooking and eagerness to learn. • Strong work ethic and attention to detail. • Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment. • High school diploma or culinary school certificate.
