A Food & Beverage Team Leader at Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi is responsible for supporting the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Restaurant Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant. This role ensures the delivery of exceptional food and beverage quality, outstanding guest service, and seamless operational standards. The Team Leader assists in leading and developing the team, driving service excellence, and supporting promotional and revenue-generating initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and maximize profitability.

To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow: • Strong background in Food & Beverage is a MUST • Management and/or supervisory Food and Beverage experience • Able to meet financial targets • Ability to comply with all Food and Beverage brand standards • Ability to work under pressure • Excellent grooming standards • Willingness to develop team members and self • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations • Ability to work on your own or in teams It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions: • Degree/Diploma in relevant area is preferred • Passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service Specifically, as a Food & Beverage Team Leader for Waldorf Astoria Maldives you will perform the following tasks to the highest standards: • Deliver exceptional guest service by anticipating and responding promptly to guest needs and requests. • Uphold and promote True Waldorf Service, Live Unforgettable, and all Waldorf Astoria Brand Standards. • Ensure compliance with service delivery, quality assurance, food safety, hygiene, health, and safety standards. • Maintain outlet readiness by overseeing mise en place, cleanliness, presentation, and menu condition. • Ensure the availability of food and beverage items and provide suitable alternatives when required. • Handle guest feedback, queries, and complaints professionally, taking corrective action and maintaining records. • Drive customer satisfaction through attention to detail, personalized service, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Monitor outlet financial performance, support revenue growth through upselling, and control operational costs. • Ensure accurate billing, cashiering procedures, inventory management, and stock reconciliation. • Oversee beverage inventories, breakage, spoilage records, and compliance with month-end stock counts. • Coordinate with other departments to promote resort facilities and maximize cross-selling opportunities. • Lead, motivate, coach, and develop team members while fostering teamwork and a positive work environment. • Assist with workforce planning, scheduling, attendance management, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels. • Conduct and participate in training sessions, communicate departmental objectives, and ensure adherence to SOPs. • Lead by example, maintain professional relationships, support operational excellence, and perform additional duties as assigned by management.
