An In-Room Dining Manager at Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre is responsible for leading and overseeing all In-Room Dining operations, delivering a seamless, refined, and anticipatory guest experience in line with Waldorf Astoria brand and Forbes Travel Guide standards. The role is accountable for upholding the highest levels of luxury service, operational excellence, and financial stewardship, while ensuring full compliance with all statutory and regulatory obligations. In close partnership with the Director of Food & Drinks, the In-Room Dining Manager drives the development and execution of business strategies that enhance guest satisfaction, optimize revenue performance, and consistently deliver exceptional, personalized in-room dining experiences. What will I be doing? As the In-Room Dining Manager, you will be fully accountable for the operations of Room Service and Minibar, leading all processes to ensure a seamless, refined, and anticipatory guest experience while achieving the highest standards of operational excellence. Specifically, you will: Commercial performance Achieve the IRD’s business plan, considering financials, market strategy, team member and guest experience. Partner with the F&D leadership team on segment marketing plans to increase the number of guests dining in-house. Manage the IRD budget and forecast effectively. Review business results - including sales, costs, profit margins, covers, guest satisfaction - and take action to improve performance. Identify opportunities to drive revenues from minibars, in-room dining and other related services. Partner with the commercial team to ensure the hotel’s mobile ordering platform is optimised, providing exciting IRD promotions and relevant marketing material. Excellent food & drinks Partner with the F&D Leadership Team to create attractive menus and products that drive revenue and profit. Develop a great range of in-room services to meet guests’ needs, from suite catering to breakfast in bed to food-to-go options. Work effectively with the culinary team to deliver high-quality, well-presented food and beverage accurately and on time. Champion Hilton’s sustainability goals through local sourcing, use of seasonal produce and minimizing food waste. Exceptional guest experiences Lead your team to deliver exceptional guest experiences, ensuring authentic, personalized, and anticipatory service that reflects the luxury and Forbes Five-Star standards of Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre. Develop great customer relationships, recognizing long staying guests and their preferences to improve loyalty. Review and act on guest feedback, taking quick action to improve service and resolve complaints. Continuously enhance the customer journey, both online and in-person, to ensure a comfortable and effective ordering and receiving process that exceeds guests’ expectations. Make sure that food allergies and dietary requirements are treated with absolute seriousness, are displayed correctly and that team members are well-informed and knowledgeable. Schedule Team Members’ working time efficiently based on forecast business volumes, offering flexibility where possible and minimizing overtime costs. Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of achieving financial and operational performance targets. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and compelling messages to a variety of audiences, from team briefings to business presentations. Customer focus, maintaining the highest standards of service and quality to create memorable guest experiences. Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to remain composed and adaptable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Impeccable grooming and professional presentation, reflecting the standards of a Forbes Five-Star luxury hotel. It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions: Solid knowledge of luxury hospitality and Forbes Five-Star service standards.
